House of Cool in Toronto is seeking Story Interns! 

House of Cool is the leading studio in animation for Pre‐Production throughout the world. Together with our clients, the House of Cool team has worked to design stories and craft some of the worlds coolest Animated Series and Feature Films such as: Spies in Disguise (Disney/Fox) and Maya and the Three (Netflix). House of Cool has also worked on Next Gen (Netflix), Ferdinand (Fox), The Book of Life (Fox), Rio 1 & 2 (Fox) and many more productions!

Important Note - The internship at House of Cool is only open to College or University students, who are returning to school in the Fall. Also, while the internship is hybrid, it is mandatory to be in the Toronto studio at least 3 days a week.

About the Storyboard Interns! 

Responsibilities 

• Complete storyboard assignments for review 

• Create Story samples and participate in meetings and launches 

• Take creative direction and incorporate feedback into revised work 

• Communicate progress and maintain deadlines issued from the Director and Production staff 

• Consistently achieve the quality and style of the project 

• Attend seminars or other learning presentations 

• Have fun! 

Requirements 

• Be in the studio a minimum of 3 days a week between June 3 and Aug 23

• Cool looking portfolio with story samples. (Don’t be nervous, we just want to see how you tell a story) 

• Ability to tell a story that makes an audience believe in that world and situation with authenticity
