Richard Chen

Richard Chen is a passionate Production Designer, Art Director and Visual development artist. A graduate of Sheridan college, Richard has amassed over 20 years of experience in animation, film, gaming and all forms of creative content. 

Over the years he's served in leadership roles on projects such as 9, Gnomeo and Juliet, Ice Age, Next Gen, Maya and the Three, Monkey King, and many more, helping to craft the visual direction and artistic vision on all projects he's been a part of, pushing the quality bar in all aspects of production. He's also served as the head of the art at ARC Productions, Creative Director at Tangent animation studios, Creative Director at Ape Squared Creative, and more recently, serving as Creative Director of WildBrain Studios/House of Cool.

Nothing brings him more joy than to work with great people on great projects, helping to bring projects to life, and telling stories for all to enjoy.
